SDI Scuba Discovery Program

For those who want to test the waters, this is the course for you. The SDI Scuba Discovery Program gives you a glimpse into what you can expect to see in the underwater world as well as what you could expect to learn in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course. You will be shown the basic safety procedures for enjoyable scuba dives under the watchful eye of an SDI instructor.

You will learn skills like equalizing your ears, buddy checks, basic buoyancy control, and underwater communication. You will also be given an introduction to basic scuba equipment and scuba skills followed by an underwater tour in the local marine environment.

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver* or PADI Open Water Diver*

The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver/PADI Open Water Diver course is an entry-level certification course designed to give you the necessary skills to safely conduct open water dives. Some of the many skills you will learn include buoyancy, proper weighting, marine conservation, equipment assembly, proper dive planning, and maintenance. The course covers all the basic knowledge about equipment, physiology and the marine environment while training students to perform basic skills underwater. This course is the key to start exploring dive destinations around the globe or just in your backyard.

Program Description:
  • 5 knowledge development sessions
  • 5 skills development sessions in a pool or pool-like condition.
  • 4 scuba dives in open water
  • Takes 3-5 days

* Earns the Open Water Scuba Diver certification, enabling you to buy/rent scuba equipment and dive without direct instructor supervision.

SDI Advanced Adventure Diver

You’ve taken your open water scuba diver course and now your ready to expand your knowledge but you would like to see what is out there first.  The SDI Advanced Adventure Diver course will give you an overview of five (5) selected SDI specialties.  Two of the specialties are SDI Deep Diver and Navigations Diver, which are the foundation of continuing diver education.  The remaining specialties include

  • Advanced Buoyancy Control
  • Altitude, Boat
  • Computer Nitrox
  • Drift
  • Marine Ecosystem Awareness
  • Many More!

This course is intended to introduce you to each of the five (5) specialties and not complete comprehension of the chosen specialty.   One (1) dive from each of the chosen specialties may apply towards a complete specialty certification.

Program Description:
  • 5 Specialty dives
  • emphasis on learning during actual open water dives
  • develops skills in and introduces you to  Underwater Navigation and Deep Diving  and 3 other specialties, including the following:
    night diving, Underwater Photography, Underwater Naturalist, Multilevel Diving, Search & Recovery, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Diving, Boat Diving.

SDI Rescue Diver

The SDI Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop your knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist, and administer necessary first aid. You will learn skills such as how to perform self rescues, buddy rescues, recognize and calm potential panic divers, administer proper first aid to divers that have experienced dive related injuries, conduct effective search patterns and manage accident scenes.  After the SDI Rescue Diver Course you can enroll in the SDI Master Scuba Diver Development Program or start in the professional ranks and sign up for the SDI Divemaster Course.

SDI Divemaster

The SDI Divemaster Course is the first professional level certification. During this course you will be challenged and learn what it is like to work with divers as they experience the underwater world for the first time and you will learn how to lead already certified divers and show them some of your favorite critters or dive sites.

Your SDI Instructor will also teach you how to manage divers, work the dive deck of a boat, and conducting safe and enjoyable dives.  Other things you can expect to learn is diving Physics and Physiology, and being a professional SDI Divemaster.

Your skills will be refined to demonstration quality and your knowledge increased to that of a professional.  After you have completed the SDI Divemaster course you can move onto the SDI Assistant Instructor Course where you will learn more about academic presentations and have the ability to teach certain SDI specialties.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program allows those who never tried it, to safely experience the same sense of wonder and excitement shared every day by scuba divers throughout the world.

Under the careful supervision of a diving instructor, participants actually go on a scuba dive in shallow (max. 12 m), calm water.

Program Description:
  • Short knowledge/water skills sessions
  • Shallow scuba dive in open water lets you experience scuba diving without committing to an entire course
  • Takes 3 hours
PADI Scuba Diver

The PADI Scuba Diver program is a pre-entry level certification that is perfect for vacationers or people who only plan to dive a couple times a year.
As a subprogram of the PADI Open Water Diver program, the PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily and dive under the direct supervision of
PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Instructor to a max. depth of 12 m.

Program Description:
  • 3 knowledge development sessions
  • 3 skills development sessions in a pool or pool-like condition.
  • 2 scuba dives in open water
  • Takes 2 days
PADI Adventure Diver

The Adventure Diver program is the perfect opportunity to gain additional experience and skills under the guidance of a PADI professional.
To become a PADI Adventure Diver you need your PADI Open Water certification (or equivalent) and the desire to experience thrilling adventures.

Program Description:
  • This in-water performance based program includes a total of three dives from the list below:
    Underwater Navigation,  Deep, Night, Underwater Photography, Underwater Naturalist, Multilevel, Search & Recovery, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift, Boat.
  • After successfully completing the program, you’ll receive the PADI Adventure Diver certification. Now, take the next step! Complete two more adventure dives (must include deep and navigation) and become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
  • Takes 1-2 days
PADI Emergency First Response

Emergency First Response courses encompass adult, child and infant CPR and first aid skills, and incorporate Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training and emergency oxygen use. Emergency First Response also offers comprehensive First Aid at Work courses, specifically designed to meet compliance standards for workplace safety courses internationally.

Program Description:
  • Emergency First Response courses are flexible in design to accommodate scheduling and training needs. They can be taught together or alone in any combination.
  • Takes 4-6 hours

 

PADI Rescue Diver

Theres even more. Rescue Diver is a unique course  that not only  provides  the skills to make you a safe diver and a better dive buddy, but its also basic for anyone thinking of becoming a diving professional.
This engrossing  program  teaches  you to focus on other divers, as well as yourself, and shows you how to recognize and prevent a diving accident before it occurs, and how to respond if one does. Although the subject matter is serious, the course is both intensely rewarding and enjoyable.

Program Description:
  • 12 Open Water Training Exercises
  • emphasizes flexibility and adapting the diver to personal andenvironmental conditions
  • A demanding and serious, but fun and rewarding program
  • Takes 3-4 days
PADI Divemaster

The PADI Divemaster program is the first step on the leadership ladder in the system of diver education. This rating denotes you as a person who:
Has a high level of personal diving skill.
Has instructor level knowledge of diving theory.

Has had significant training in how to assist an instructor during training activities.

Is able to assume appropriate responsibilities that benefit the welfare of other divers.
As a Divemaster, you’ll be qualified to:
Act as certified instructional assistant to Instructors.

Supervise participants in experience programs for uncertified divers.
Generally supervise both training and no training related diving activities by planning, organizing and directing dives.
Teach and certify Skin Divers
Conduct the  Scuba Review program for certified divers.

Conduct the Skin Diving Skills segment of the Open Water Diver course, Confined Water Dive four under the direction of a diving Instructor. o teach certain SDI specialties.

SDI and PADI Specialty Diver

The Specialty Diver program familiarizes divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards for various special-interest areas in diving.

Program Description:
  • 2 to 4 Specialty dives (varies)
  • Emphasis on learning during actual open water dives
  • First dive of each specialty credited as corresponding Advanced program dives
  • Qualifies you to independently plan and make dives in the specialty area
  • Takes 1-2 days
